It is a great honor to host the 74th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists in Kobe from June 3 to 5, 2027.
I deeply appreciate the opportunity to lead this important gathering. This meeting will cover a broad spectrum of anesthesiology,
including perioperative medicine, critical care, emergency care, pain management, and palliative medicine,
providing a valuable opportunity to share the latest knowledge and practices.
The theme of this meeting is “Anesthesiology Evolving Through Multidisciplinary and Cross-Industry Collaboration — Let’s Jazzgl for Anesthesiology.”
Modern perioperative care relies on collaboration beyond anesthesiology — with surgery, nursing, pharmacy, engineering, rehabilitation, administration,
and industry. Like a jazz session, where different instruments create harmony through improvisation,
anesthesiology continues to evolve as multiple professions combine their strengths to create new value.
We aim to provide a stimulating platform for diverse stakeholders to exchange clinical, research,
and educational insights and to envision the future of anesthesiology together. Opportunities for young physicians to present their work will help cultivate a research mindset and encourage scientific writing.
The host city, Kobe, is a historic port town that has long welcomed cultures from around the world, blending sophistication with warmth.
While engaging in cutting-edge discussions at the conference, we also hope you will enjoy Kobe’s beautiful harbor views, diverse culinary scene,
and vibrant music culture. We wish to create a meeting filled with the same passion and creativity as a jazz session — where diverse professionals resonate with one another,
weaving together the fabric of a new anesthesiology.
We sincerely hope that the 74th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists will be a meaningful learning experience for all attendees and an opportunity to envision future directions for our field.
We warmly look forward to welcoming many of you in Kobe.
